For example one or two people could welcome people in, then we would have one person handing out song sheets and someone in back ground doing things like tyding. or they can show people the candels.
we should have bell sounds ( church bells of course) befire we begin in order to start the performance and create the climax of the atmosphere. The candels would not only set the scene but would provide a peaceful attitude before people watch the play. The candels cause the audence ot think relgious breifly putting them in the right frame of mind in order to understand the peiece.
Today we did alannah and me but mainly alannah, it was fabolous they worked really well. we came across problems which we plan to resolve such as: i always say "forgive me father, for i have sinned" so instead on my second one i say " hello farther would i be able to talk to you"
this suits the character better as she does not repent her sins.
another problem was that maddy was seated too much, so we thought prehaps someone could approach her while she was tyding the church and have a less uniformal confession.
i got idea from miss wilson( hi miss) about having something as we walk in becuase this is what they had in the hamlet play and it got the audience thinking.

ReplyDeleteThanks for mentioning me in your blog Chloe ;-) !!! I think that is a great idea and you can see it is a direct link to Q.4 for the fact that - " the work of live theatre, influenced the way in which your devised response developed?"
ReplyDeleteMake sure that when you comment on your blog you can reference (where possible) how your answers respond to each of the 6 key Q.areas. This will make it so much easier and clearer for you when it comes to writing up your final SWED at the end of the process.
Great work so far though - keep it up!
