hello again chloes back to blogging

 scenes are comming along nicely.

had a little issue today as when we were doing frozen images of the confessions.
soo the problem was we had shuffled around the actual scenes of confessions as we didnt want to actors to play a   two confessions in   consecitive order due to the timmings  and costumes. Therefore we rearamged the actual scenes which  meant that  we had to rearrange  the frozen images  of the      confession scenes. so we have re orderd   the scenes whhich is a little difficult because of the  order and transition.  however we  made  it through the lesson, and are now  getting their.
costume idea- reseach priest costumes
and we need to decde other costumes- dated costumes to fit with the times.

our lesson

ok today we did two things

first i asked MR A about wheather we could use his classroom to construst our masterpeice of a set in which the materials would be sourced, however we worked out that T- dor? ( how u spell. i dont know? dont judge) he can build stuff cus thats his job.  so thats saved us some money.

then more productivly we have done more reaseach into the music for the peice, at mads house she showed us her vast collection. Then we also did more hot seating, we have pratically hot seated  everyone.

apart from one scene. as we are undecied who will play them, will decide that today though :)
we did to two scenes- nic and mads well the affair man- that horrid man and the priest.
then the drowning confession we worked out a sequence, and some sort of music, it all needs to be tighted up a bit however. we are finding that the phrases and constuction of the confession has worked  so well due the lovley priest we visted.
over and out- hehhehe always wanted to say that. who ever reads my blog wont be bored :P

meeting with priest

today we saw the priest, lovely  lady.

she was helpful in helping us understand how a confession happens and then how the priest would reaact.
what the priest would say and what they can not say. E.G they can not offer advice like a counciller. They must just help the person come to terms with forgiving themselves, as god has fogiven them He however only fogives them if they have seen the error of their ways and are truely sorry for what they have done.

the priest gave us an almost script of what happens in confessions like the prays and the order things occur.
this gave us a cleaer understanding on how the confessions worked and to help us make the scenes more realistic and beleiviable.

We asked how the priest would react to certain situations. This gave us a clearer understanding on how to play the confesser as she told us stories.
She was very honest and helpful and gave me water when i coughed. That was very nice of her also :)

14th october 2011- MY 18 Birthday!!!!!!!!! oh and our drama lesson

well today was filled with learning, we discovered more chorus techniques, this lesson was more about lysistra actually it all was.

ok miss wilson's lesson we came up with the idea of a routine for our peice, we  wanted a religious movement so we did a number of steps and took it in turns to say  lines of "hail mary" we said the first 2 together and the last 2 together i think.
we experimented with music and decided us speaking was enough and the music had too much beat and would distract from the mood and message we were setting. we experiemented with different proximeics, our final one used a variety of levels and freeze frames where we all stood clear to the audience bt not in a straight line.
 lol it underlined that hahahhaha.
anyway yeah so the freeze frames are of the sins.
we all play a part an active part in acting this :)

question 1

Question 1
How is the initial material being researched and developed at significant stages during the process of creating drama?

church- southwark catherdal
picked up a leaflet based on the church and history of the catherdal.
we looked inside and saw a priest- stimulas for our main plot.
we plan to develop this by then going and researching by speaking to priests and their experience on confessers. however we may have a problem getting information due to the confidenality of it all. Although we are not asking for names , just reactions and some stories.

we could try trinity church priest
st mary and st john divine- balham

this is just the starting/beggining stage however it is significant in finalising a vauge idea for our piece. we can develop the idea further through disscusions but more through IMPROVISATION.  although i think this is the best route so you can bounce of ideas for a stronger plot and characters. My group stongly disagree so i am outnumbered. Therefore it is  the other route we must take- disussing. Hot seating is a later stage which we plan to do, to develop our charadters and getting a better feel of who we may play.

well we have had a new idea :D

ok so now things have changed alot. :)

first of all it's a story of confessions and a priest, i dont want to say to much as i dont want to give away twist at end.
we had some ideas based on the inspiration day- church- confession box.
then we sat on a sandy beach in southbank ( fake) thats  the setting for our drama peice. then some of the characters are a bit like the ones we met or witnessed in south bank london bridge. we plan to go and speak to some priests to get more reaseach. this is a little difficult organising a time we can all do as  the priest has to also be free. and we are alll so busy.
